Both a community arts center and a series of galleries promoting local artists and their works, this facility has been the center of Park City's cultural life since 1973. The not-for-profit establishment has regular exhibitions in three galleries; national and international artists are represented as well. Four sessions of classes for children and adults are produced annually and feature everything from photography and ceramics to painting and jewelry-making. Each summer in early August, the center also sponsors an arts festival. The two-day event takes place on Main Street and attracts more than 100,000 visitors, who come to browse, buy, and eat when the snows are at bay.
